Grading Standard

QAG Grading Standard

QAG evaluates cards across 4 main areas: Centering, Corners, Edges, and Surface, using controlled imaging and Computer Vision to ensure results are evidence-based.

Centering

Centering measures the balance of the printed image on the card. The system measures the left-right and top-bottom margins from the scanned image to evaluate how well-centered the printing is.

Corners

Corners involves inspecting the four corners of the card for wear, whitening, fraying, or abnormal shapes.

Edges

Edges checks the condition of the card borders for whitening, chipping, indentations, splitting, or any damage along the edges.

Surface

Surface inspects the card face and back for scratches, dents, scuffs, or abnormal textures. QAG uses multi-directional lighting to separate flaws that normal photography might miss.

QAG scores are not guessed by AI; they are measured and calculated from real images under a controlled process. The QAG team verifies the accuracy of the data, images, reports, and certs before publishing.
