How QAG Measures

QAG captures card images under controlled lighting and uses Computer Vision to analyze centering, edges, corners, and surface. The result is an evidence-based report, not a score based on feeling or guessing.

Submission Process

Public status labels stay clear while internal scan data remains behind protected workflows.

  1. Choose a Full Grading pack and accept the terms

Sign in, choose the Full Grading pack you want, and accept the terms before starting checkout.

  2. Verified Beam Checkout payment (PromptPay)

A Beam-verified PromptPay payment reserves the paid entitlement for your order and keeps the status visible in your account.

  3. Complete the post-payment Submission

After payment is verified, complete and finalize the card details in the Submission within 90 days. Only then does the paid entitlement enter QAG review.

  4. QAG review / wait and a versioned return quote

QAG reviews the finalized Submission or records QAG Wait with a reason and next update. When QAG can receive the parcel, it issues a versioned return quote, starting one 60-day customer clock.

  5. Pay the separate RETURN_SHIPPING supplement

Pay the return-shipping and insurance supplement quoted for the parcel as a separate RETURN_SHIPPING payment. This payment does not restart the 60-day clock.

  6. Packing Slip and inbound authorization unlock

Verified RETURN_SHIPPING payment unlocks the Packing Slip and inbound authorization. Do not send cards or print a slip before this step.

  7. Carrier acceptance

Send the parcel only under that authorization and obtain a valid carrier-acceptance scan within the same 60-day deadline; creating a label alone is not acceptance.

  8. Intake and reconciliation

Once QAG receives the parcel, we reconcile the cards against the Submission before the grading turnaround begins.

  9. Grade, report, and return

QAG scans and quality-checks the cards before publishing the report, and Full Grading returns the card in a slab with a public Full Cert.

Before you submit

Concise answers to the questions collectors ask most often.

01How long does QAG grading take?

Turnaround times vary by pack and card count, but typically range from 14-30 days after physical intake.

02Does QAG use AI grading?

QAG is not AI grading. QAG uses measurement-based Computer Vision from controlled scans. The system evaluates centering, corners, edges, and surface using consistent rules, then QAG performs Human QC before publishing the public cert.

03What does Computer Vision inspect?

The controlled scans measure Centering, Corners, Edges, and Surface wear using standardized inspection criteria, followed by Human QC.

04Is QAG affiliated with PSA, BGS, CGC, or TAG?

No. QAG is an independent grading service and is not affiliated with any grading company or card manufacturer.

05How do I submit my cards?

Sign in, choose a Full Grading pack, accept the terms, and make a Beam-verified PromptPay payment first. Then finalize the Submission within 90 days. QAG reviews it and issues a versioned return quote; only the separate RETURN_SHIPPING payment unlocks the Packing Slip and inbound authorization, and the carrier must accept the parcel within that same 60-day deadline.

06When do I pay?

Accept the terms and pay first through Beam Checkout using PromptPay; the verified payment reserves the paid entitlement, then finalize the Submission within 90 days. The return-shipping and insurance amount is a separate RETURN_SHIPPING supplement after QAG issues its quote.

07Does the Public Cert expose personal data?

No. QAG Public Certs only show the card's grade, subgrades, and approved defect images. They never expose customer personal data, raw debug scan data, or internal grader notes.

08How should I pack my cards for submission?

Prepare each card in a penny sleeve and a Toploader or Card Saver to prevent bending. Sandwich the cards between two pieces of cardboard, wrap them in bubble wrap, and use a sturdy box. Do not send the parcel or print a Packing Slip until QAG has issued the quote and verified the separate RETURN_SHIPPING payment; that is when the system unlocks the slip and inbound authorization.

09Which cards does QAG accept?

Full Grading is open for standard or signed One Piece cards. Cards already in another company's slab or holder are not accepted, and Custom Label is not available.
